Carol Bull
Ex Chair of Print Rock Primary School
Carol Bull
Carol has been the Chair of Governors at Prince Rock Primary School for nearly 20 years, taking the school from an Ofsted category of special measures all the way to three outstanding judgements in a row.
Carol’s interest in education started during her time working for NFER (National Foundation for Education Research). Working first as a receptionist, and then working on a research project into comprehensive education, was both enjoyable and inspirational. Moving with her husband to Singapore allowed her to witness a very different educational system. After taking time off work to bring up her two sons, she returned to work at a structural steel company. Towards the end of her career, Carol worked for The Guild of Voluntary Service, then at Plymouth Age Concern. She is now enjoying a well-earned retirement and spending time with her grandchildren.
Carol believes that it has been a privilege to work with the exceptional governing body at Prince Rock who have shown outstanding commitment to the school. She has also been a member of the trust at Lipson Community College and a governor there.
She is looking forward to the exciting times ahead and hopes to be able to make a difference to the education of the children from all 3 schools within the Learning Academies Trust. Her core belief is written below:
We must always endeavour to put the education and welfare of all the children as our number one priority.
