Ben Norris has been Headteacher at Knowle Primary School since September 2024.  Prior to this he worked as Head of School at a neighbouring school within the trust.  Ben has built up his experience of primary teaching in a number of schools in Plymouth since graduating from the University of Plymouth in 2009.  In this time, he has taught extensively across Key Stage 1 and 2, working most recently as a Year 6 teacher.  Over this time, Ben has been an Assistant Headteacher and developed experience in leading curriculum, assessment along with teaching and learning to support school improvement and helping to achieve better outcomes for all children.  Ben worked as part of the Plymouth Local Authority moderation team at Key Stage 1 and 2 for a number of years.

In order to help develop his leadership skills, Ben has completed the NPQH and more recently been a part of the South West 100 programme.  Working with leaders from across the country with the aim to improve outcomes for disadvantaged children and designing systems to support all children to achieve their potential in primary education and beyond.
