Bob is a professionally trained manager working in the printing and publishing industries for over 40 years, most of those years at board level. He retired 5 years ago as Managing Director of Latimer Trend Ltd which specialised in Scientific and Medical Journals. Bob has also been Vice Chairman of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Plymouth and Cornwall British Printing Industries Federation, Chairman of Plymouth YMCA, Treasurer and board member of the Marine Biological Association. Bob also sits on the Assets and Investment Board for the Diocese of Exeter. He has also been a governor at Plymouth College of Art when he returned to Plymouth and latterly a governor at Thornbury Primary school. He is also a lay advisor to the Magistracy and a Bishops’ assessor for the appointments of ordinands to the priesthood in the Church of England. His specialism is in management restructuring, recovery and growth both in the private and charitable sectors.
