Cameron Lancaster is the Headteacher of Knowle Primary School, Plymouth, serving a deprived area of the city. He became Head at Knowle in September 2016 and in this time has overseen a huge transformation in the setting. Changes include joining the Learning Academies Trust, significant staff turnover/restructure and managing the financial pressures with a falling roll, to name just a few.

Cameron started his teaching career in Oxfordshire following the completion of his teacher training at Marjon’s. He spent six years in Oxfordshire before moving back to the South West to take on the role of Headteacher at Knowle. During his time in Oxfordshire, Cameron rapidly progressed through his teaching career becoming an Assistant Headteacher two years into his career. From this he progressed on to the role of Acting Headteacher to provide school improvement support to a struggling school in South Oxfordshire.
