Simon is an executive finance professional bringing a wealth of experience from a career covering 37 years in a range of public sector and quasi commercial roles.

A chartered accountant by profession, his career also includes procurement, a wide variety of project and transformation experience in addition to leading digital and estates alongside finance services.  During this time Simon has gained experience of working with schools and head teachers as the city schools forum finance lead and can also draw on working in and with a broader spectrum of the education sector.  Keen to drive collaboration to the benefit of the Trust, Simon can draw on extensive experience of working with a range of partners, stakeholders and government agencies.

During the latter half of his career, Simon has also fulfilled a broad range of non-executive voluntary roles, he understands good governance and firmly believes in supporting his local community here in Plymouth.

Simon sits on the Finance committee and Trust Board and has a keen interest in the wider workings of the Trust with a sharp focus on the financial strategy and health, He understands this is key for the best curriculum and learning experience and outcomes the Trust can deliver for our pupils.
